Simple teriyaki hen

Do that straightforward, sticky Asian-style teriyaki hen for a speedy weeknight supper – it takes simply 20 minutes to make! Serve it with sticky rice and steamed greens

      • 2 tbsp sliced
      • 2 crushed
      • 1 thumb-sized piece grated
      • 50g , to serve
      • 4 shredded, to serve
      • sticky rice,to serve
      • steamed bok choior spring greens, to serve

      Methodology

      • STEP 1

        Warmth the oil in a non-stick pan over a medium warmth. Add the hen and fry for 7 minutes, or till golden. Add the garlic and ginger and fry for two minutes. Stir within the honey, soy sauce, vinegar and 100ml water. Deliver to the boil and cook dinner for two – 5 minutes over a medium warmth till the hen is sticky and coated in a thick sauce.

      • STEP 2

        Scatter over the spring onions and sesame seeds, then serve the hen with the rice and steamed veg.
