Get youngsters cooking on the weekend by baking this yummy brownie cake, significantly better than store purchased

- 100g (plain or milk)
- 1 tbspgolden syrup
- 2eggs
- 1 tspvanilla extract/essence
- 100gplain flour
- ½ tspbaking powder
- 2 tbspcocoa powder
- STEP 1
Warmth oven to 180C/fan 160C/gasoline 4. Grease and line a 20cm cake tin.
- STEP 2
Place the butter, caster sugar, brown sugar, chocolate and golden syrup within the pan and soften gently on a low warmth till it’s easy and lump-free.
- STEP 3
Take away the pan from the warmth.
- STEP 4
Break the eggs into the bowl and whisk with the fork till mild and frothy. 5 Add the eggs, vanilla extract or essence, flour, baking powder and cocoa powder to the chocolate combination and blend completely.
- STEP 5
Put the combination into the greased and lined cake tin and place on the center shelf of the oven. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
- STEP 6
Take away and permit to chill for 20-30 minutes earlier than reducing into wedges and serving.
- STEP 7
Serve with cream or ice cream and loads of recent fruit.
