Improve tacky tomato pasta with gnocchi, chorizo and mozzarella for a comforting bake that makes a superb midweek meal

- 1 tbsp , finely chopped
- 2 , crushed
- 120g , diced
- 2 x 400g cans chopped ball, lower into chunks

- STEP 1
Warmth the oil in a medium pan over a medium warmth. Fry the onion and garlic for 8-10 minutes till comfortable. Add the chorizo and fry for five minutes extra. Tip within the tomatoes and sugar, and season. Deliver to a simmer, then add the gnocchi and cook dinner for 8 minutes, stirring typically, till comfortable. Warmth the grill to excessive.
- STEP 2
Stir ¾ of the mozzarella and many of the basil by the gnocchi. Divide the combination between six ovenproof ramekins, or put in a single baking dish. Prime with the remaining mozzarella, then grill for 3 minutes, or till the cheese is melted and golden. Season, scatter over the remaining basil and serve with inexperienced salad.
