Fancy a wholesome model of your favorite Friday evening hen curry? The hen will be marinaded the day earlier than so you will get forward in your prep

    • Prep:15 minutes

      • 500g juiced
      • 2 tsp chopped
      • 3 crushed
      • 1 deseeded and finely chopped (non-obligatory)
      • thumb-sized piece grated
      • 1 tsp toasted

      To serve (non-obligatory)

      • cooked or lime pickle
      • recent wedges

      Technique

      • STEP 1

        In a medium bowl, combine all of the marinade substances with some seasoning. Chop the hen into bite-sized items and toss with the marinade. Cowl and chill within the fridge for 1 hr or in a single day.

      • STEP 2

        In a big, heavy saucepan, warmth the oil. Add the onion, garlic, inexperienced chilli, ginger and a few seasoning. Fry on a medium warmth for 10 minutes or till comfortable.

      • STEP 3

        Add the spices with the tomato purée, prepare dinner for an extra 2 minutes till aromatic, then add the inventory and marinated hen. Prepare dinner for 15 minutes, then add any remaining marinade left within the bowl. Simmer for five minutes, then sprinkle with the toasted almonds. Serve with rice, naan bread, chutney, coriander and lime wedges, in case you like.
