Two classics mixed, meatloaf flavoured with sage and feta plus pasta and tomato sauce – assured to please

- 2 tbsp , plus further for greasing and drizzling
- 2 , finely chopped
- 500g , roughly chopped
- 100g , crumbled
- 3 , 1 finely chopped
- 680g jarpassata
- 600gspaghetti
- STEP 1
Warmth oven to 180C/160 fan/gasoline 4 and grease an ovenproof dish. Warmth the oil in a big frying pan over a medium warmth, add the onions, sizzle for five minutes, then take away half and put in a big bowl with the mince, egg, breadcrumbs, sage, feta and chopped bay. Season properly and blend. Form into a protracted sausage form and switch to the greased dish. Put the remaining bay leaves on prime, drizzle with just a little extra oil and put within the oven for 40-45 minutes till cooked via.

In the meantime, preserve the remaining onions on a low warmth within the pan. Cook dinner for two minutes, then enhance the warmth and pour within the passata with 70ml water. Bubble for 30 minutes on a low warmth, stirring usually, or till the meatloaf is able to come out of the oven. Season to style.

Cook dinner the spaghetti following pack directions. When all the pieces is prepared, toss the spaghetti within the tomato sauce, slice the meatloaf and let everybody assist themselves.
